At PERFECT LASHES we are against animal cruelty, which is why we use Faux Mink Eyelash Extensions and would never use REAL Mink eyelash extensions. 

 

Our lashes  are SYNTHETIC Mink lashes, also known as FAUX Mink lashes and are made of high quality PBT (Polybutylene terephthalate) fiber.  They are lightweight, soft, silky and come in many different lengths, thicknesses, curvatures and colors.  They are made to imitate real mink fur, but with much more benefits and no harm to any animal, in fact, they are so alike it is really difficult to distinguish faux mink from real mink extensions. Depending on how they are applied, you can achieve a soft more natural look or a bold, dramatic look.  Faux Mink and Silk lashes  also hold their curl even when they are wet.

There are companies that say their Real Mink Lashes are cruelty free, but the truth is that most companies can't answer questions on how the hair is harvested and the treatment of the animals on the farms.  Minks are not a calm animal and would not willingly let its fur be trimmed, additionally it only sheds once a year, meaning it is NOT sustainable or a realistic way to get fur all year round.  A quick google of mink fur farms will make you see some of the hidden cruelties behind the REAL MINK extensions industry. I would stay away from places that offer Real Mink Lashes because you just don't know what the process was to make the eyelash extensions.

Real Mink Lashes can cause allergies and blepharitis. Because they are real fur, it is very difficult to get them completely sterilized.  Don't risk your health.

 

Besides all this, Real Mink lashes WILL NOT hold their shape and curl when wet, so you will have to re-curl them every time you  take a shower, which eliminates one of the reasons of getting  Eyelash Extensions.

Disadvantages of REAL MINK eyelash extensions

-They risk your health

-It is difficult to verify whether they have been truly sterilized.

-They lose their curl, so you will have more work to do in your daily routine

-You have to use mascara, as they are too thin.

-They are waaaaay more expensive with NO extra benefit.

-And the most important of all, THEY HURT ANIMALS.

Advantages of FAUX eyelash extensions

-You can choose the kind of curl you want, and keep it.

-You don't have to re-curl your lashes every time you get them wet, which is one of the main reasons of getting eyelash extensions.

-They have several colors you can choose from.

-You have more style options (matte, gloss, color,  etc.)

-They are less expensive and with benefits over the Real Mink Lashes.

-And the most important of all, they DON'T HURT ANIMALS, and because they need to be manufacture, they create jobs.
